HOLLAND, OH ~ In the “Saturday Night Lights” at Springfield High School the Fremont Ross girls’ varsity team took home the trophy as they won first place at the event. The Fremont Ross boys took fourth place in their race with 79 points.

In the boy race, Will Kiser lead Ross with a 7th place finish with a time of 17:02. Finishing second for Ross and 11th overall was Zach Glotzbecker in 17:55. Others competing were: Aaron McNutt finishing 15th in 18:12. Semaj Kemp ran in 21st spot in 19:01 and Jaheim Statton ran 25th over all in 19:35. The team finished fourth with 79 points.

In the last race of the night, Fremont Ross’ girls ran to victory with 43 points. Evelyn Szymanowski led the Ross girls with a 2nd place finish in 19:35. Allison Taylor was in 6th place in 20:41. Mackenzie Smith (21:15), Adrianne Halbisen (22:53), Kylie Peck (22:58) finished 8th, 13th , and 14th respectively.
