FREMONT – The Fremont Ross swim teams had a busy weekend in the pool. The Little and Lady Giants hosted the preliminaries of the Daniel H. Lease Northwest Ohio Classic Saturday morning and spent that evening in the finals of that event as well as in the SJCC Catholic Invitational. Between the meets, more than 750 swimmers were in the pool at the Hawk-Bucci Natatorium.
Ross’ girls finished third out of 34 teams in the Northwest Ohio Classic and those who remained for the SJCC meet finished sixth out of 16 teams. The boys finished 12th out of 36 teams in the Northwest Ohio meet and took 7th out of 15 in the SJCC meet.
“Swimmers did a nice job for being tired and not (tech-)suiting up for this meet,” coach Phil Moran said. “We held our own against several schools at the meet that were suited up.”
Results for both meets are detailed below, showing all those who scored points in the finals of the Northwest Ohio Classic and finished in the top 16 of the SJCC meet.
