The Fremont Ross boys golf team wrapped up its season Wednesday at the OHSAA sectional tournament held at Sycamore Springs, finishing seventh in the team standings with a score of 366. Scoring for the Little Giants were Quinn Wolf with an 85, Brandon Fry and Max Durnwald each shooting 93, and Braylon Jordan adding a 95.
Only the top four teams move on to the district round, leaving Ross just short of advancing as a group. However, the postseason also allows the top four individuals not on a qualifying team to continue, and that’s where Wolf stepped up. His round of 85 earned him one of those coveted spots, sending him on to next week’s district tournament.
For the seniors who competed for the final time in purple and white, the day marked the end of their high school golf journey. Their leadership and dedication—on the course and beyond—leave a lasting impact on the program.
