The Fremont Ross Lady Giants tennis team hit the courts for back-to-back matches this week, showing both dominance and determination.
On Wednesday evening, Ross swept visiting Fostoria, earning a decisive 5-0 victory. The Lady Giants controlled play from start to finish, setting the tone with strong serves and steady baseline rallies. Head coach Greg Wolfe praised his team’s focus but quickly turned the page to what lies ahead.
“They have a tough schedule next week with Southview, Anthony Wayne and Clay, plus our home tournament on Saturday the 13th,” Wolfe said. “We’ll need to be sharp in every match.”
Less than 24 hours later, the Lady Giants were back in action on the road against a battle-tested Bowling Green squad. The Bobcats, anchored by 11 seniors, proved too experienced to overcome, defeating Ross 5-0 on Thursday evening.
“Bowling Green is a very experienced, polished team,” Wolfe said. “They have 11 seniors. I’m proud of my girls showing great sportsmanship throughout the match.”
With a demanding stretch ahead, the Lady Giants will use the weekend to regroup before returning to the court on Tuesday in a Northern Lakes League matchup against Sylvania Southview.
