The Fremont Ross Lady Giants tennis team secured an important non-conference victory Monday evening, edging past Perkins by a 3-2 score.
The win came on the strength of singles play, as Elayna Gray, Addy Calhoun, and Shelby Steinberger each picked up hard-fought victories to clinch the match for Ross.
Head Coach Wolfe praised her squad’s effort on the court, particularly the resilience shown by her singles players.
“Our singles players are doing amazing,” Wolfe said. “They have great wins and great losses. They never give up and play their ‘A’ game each time they step on the court.”
With the victory, the Lady Giants continue to build momentum heading into a busy stretch of the schedule. They return to action today with a road trip to Fostoria, where they will square off against the Redmen.
