The Fremont Ross girls golf team returned to .500 on the season Monday afternoon, defeating Tiffin by a narrow 216-221 margin.
Leading the way for the Lady Giants was Riley Halbeisen with a team-low 49. She was followed closely by Lauren Fry at 51, while Morgan Batey and Megan Royster each carded a 58 to round out the scoring. With the win, Ross moves to 4-4 on the year. The Lady Giants now turn their attention to a key Northern Lakes League contest as they travel to Bowling Green this afternoon.
On the boys side, Fremont Ross came up just short against Eastwood, falling 169-165 in a tightly contested match. Brandon Fry led the Little Giants with a 39, while Quinn Wolf and Braylon Jordon each posted a 43. Aidan Autullo added a 44 to complete the team score.
The boys will look to bounce back quickly as they host Bowling Green today in an important NLL matchup.
