The Lady Giants secured a 4th-place team finish with 75 points. Freshman standout Lily Kiser led the way, earning a podium finish by placing 3rd overall. Fellow freshman Julia Norris crossed the line in 8th, with Kennedy Walker close behind in 10th, giving the Lady Giants three top-10 finishers on the day.
On the boys’ side, Fremont Ross placed 5th overall with 121 points. Sophomore Bentley Lopez, competing in his first-ever cross country meet, impressed with a 13th-place finish. Senior Boogie Sanchez provided steady leadership, finishing 21st overall.
Head coach John Elder praised both squads for their progress and potential.
“Under much better conditions than last week, both cross country teams represented Fremont Ross with solid performances,” Elder said. “I’m looking forward to seeing how both teams continue to develop. There’s a lot of potential on both sides.”
The Little Giants will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Bowling Green State University to compete in the annual Mel Brodt Invitational.
