FREMONT — The Fremont Ross Little Giants turned in a stellar performance at this year’s Cooper Tire Invitational, with the boys’ team delivering a dominant display to take home the meet title and the girls showcasing their strength, particularly in the field events.

The boys’ team racked up an impressive 95 points, outpacing their nearest competitor by 25 points and capturing the team title in commanding fashion. Leading the way was standout senior Jadrian Brown, who continued his incredible senior campaign with record-setting runs in both the 100m and 400m dashes. Brown blazed to meet records in both events, clocking in at 10.86 seconds in the 100 and 49.05 seconds in the 400. He nearly completed the sprint triple, finishing second in the 200m, narrowly edged by just .01 seconds.

Also making a huge impact was Mason Englund, who secured victories in both the 110m hurdles and the high jump. Englund’s hurdles win came in record-breaking fashion, as he posted a season-best time of 14.66 seconds. His versatility in the high jump added crucial points to the Little Giants’ team total.

In the field, Tallin Brown took top honors in the discus, launching a winning throw of 144 feet, 5 inches. Meanwhile, Evan Luc delivered a strong performance in the pole vault, earning second place.

On the girls’ side, despite not having their full lineup, the Lady Giants delivered a competitive performance, especially in the field events where they left a major mark.

Lexi Nelson claimed victory in the long jump, while Tierra Parker impressed in the shot put, winning with a season-best throw of 38’3″. In the high jump, it was a one-two punch for Fremont Ross with Kilee Kidd earning the win and teammate Lyndi Wolf finishing a close second.

On the track, Aniya McNeal added to the team’s success, taking first in the 100m hurdles with a season-best time of 15.73 seconds.

The Little Giants’ strong showing at the Cooper Tire Invite is a testament to their depth, talent, and preparation as they continue to build momentum heading into the heart of the track and field season.
