Marion, OH — The 75th annual Marion Night Invitational lived up to its name with a festive atmosphere and literal fireworks to close the night—but it was the Fremont Ross track and field teams who delivered the real show under the lights.
This unique meet doesn’t just highlight individual excellence—it also awards trophies for boys, girls, and combined team performances, along with MVP honors for the top male and female athletes. And this year, Fremont Ross made sure their name was etched across every category.
The Lady Little Giants continued their season-long dominance, running away with the team title behind a stellar 125-point effort, outpacing second-place Ashland’s 76. On the boys’ side, Ross placed third with a strong 100.5 points, finishing behind powerhouses Olentangy Liberty and Lexington. But when all the numbers were tallied, Fremont Ross stood tallest—taking home the Combined Team Championship Trophy.
Leading the charge were MVP honorees Danika Denman and Jadrian Brown, both putting on jaw-dropping performances.
Denman earned Girls MVP honors after a versatile display of speed and skill—finishing 4th in the 100m hurdles, soaring to a season-best 12’0″ to win the pole vault, and powering to victory in the 300m hurdles.
On the boys’ side, Jadrian Brown captured Boys MVP recognition after sprinting to first-place finishes in the 100m, 200m, and the 4x200m relay, while adding a strong 4th place leg in the 4×100 relay.
