Bowling Green, OH — The Fremont Ross Little Giants baseball team picked up a solid road win Monday evening, defeating Northern Lakes League opponent Bowling Green by a final score of 4–1.

The Little Giants pieced together a balanced offensive performance, collecting 10 hits on the night. Cam Joseph and Dominac Burkett led the charge at the plate, each tallying two hits. Joseph also provided key run support, driving in two of Fremont Ross’s four runs.

On the mound, Karson Kayden delivered a strong outing for the Little Giants. The right-hander tossed five innings, allowing just three hits and one unearned run while striking out four Bobcat batters.

Joseph wasn’t done after his work at the plate—he returned in the closer role and slammed the door on any hopes of a Bowling Green comeback. He pitched the final two innings, retiring six of the eight batters he faced, four of them by strikeout, to secure the save.

With the victory, Fremont Ross improves to an even .500 on the season. They’ll look to build momentum quickly, as they’re back in action this evening, hosting Bowling Green in the second game of the home-and-home series. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
