This past weekend, the Fremont Ross boys and girls track and field teams traveled to Tiffin Columbian to compete in the annual Bill Krause Invitational — and once again, both teams delivered standout performances.

The Lady Little Giants continued their dominant season, capturing the team title with a strong showing across multiple events. Ross totaled 122.5 points, edging out Oak Harbor, who finished with 115.5 points.

Leading the way for the girls was Danika Denman, who turned in an outstanding day. Denman took first place in the pole vault, the 100-meter hurdles, and the 300-meter hurdles. Her performance in the 300 hurdles was especially remarkable as she set a new meet record with a time of 45.85 seconds.
The girls’ success didn’t stop there. The 4×200 relay team — made up of Ashtyn Marsee, Malise Lee-Garrett, Lexi Nelson, and Braxtyn Jordan — claimed first place. In the field events, Reese Smith captured a win in the discus, helping to seal the overall team victory.

On the boys’ side, the Little Giants were impressive as well, finishing second by less than three points to powerhouse Perrysburg.

Jadrian Brown continued his stellar season, winning both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. Brown also anchored the victorious 4×200 relay team, alongside teammates Gabe Wensinger, Ty Brown, and Kevin Jones.

Mason England added a win in the 110-meter hurdles, while Tallon Brown topped the field in the discus, showcasing Fremont Ross’s strength across both track and field events.

Both teams will look to build on their success as the season continues and championship meets draw closer.
