FOSTORIA — The Fremont Ross Lady Giants made quick work of the Fostoria Redmen in a non-league softball matchup Wednesday night, cruising to a dominant 23-2 victory in just five innings. The win marked a special milestone for Head Coach Megan Rahe, who notched her 50th career win at the helm of the program.

With a depleted Redmen roster across the diamond, the Lady Giants wasted no time asserting control. Fremont Ross exploded for 14 hits on the night, led by a powerful offensive showing from Kenna Tooman, who drove in six runs. Maddie Hammer added to the onslaught with four RBIs of her own.

In the circle, Bristol Howey picked up the win for the Lady Giants. The right-hander tossed four strong innings, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out four.

The Lady Giants improve their momentum heading into Thursday’s key matchup against Napoleon. The team will look to avenge an early-season loss to the Wildcats. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
