FREMONT– The Lady Giants improved to 11-3 (6-0) with a dominating 62-35 NLL Cardinal Division win over the Lady Wildcats from Napoleon 6-9 (2-3).

The Giants went on the offensive early as they broke out to a 21-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. During the first eight minutes, Destiny Robinson showed Napoleon why she is the league leading scorer as she connected for three lay ups and a foul shot.      Matching Robinson’s points was the second player from Fremont’s “Big Three” Carma Johnson. Johnson sank a three pointer along with four more points. Two back breaking threes came from the third member of the “Big Three”, Lyndi Wolf. The trio accounted for 20 of the first quarter point total. A foul shot was added by Lanae Tucker.

With another quarter of 21 points scored, the Lady Giants went to the locker room with a 42-14 dominating lead. “We did not practice Friday through Sunday,” Coach Juan Vela said. “Our game was cancelled Tuesday at Sandusky Perkins. So, for us to play the way we played tonight, in rhythm together, I’ll take it, it was good.”

Robinson led all scorers with 23 points. The senior All-Ohioan hit 10 2s and was 3 of 3 from the foul line. Wolf followed with two 2s and two 3’s for 13 points and Johnson was a point behind with 12 points on three 2s and two 3s for 12 points.

The Ladies travel to Toledo Whitmer to take on the 9-5 (1-3) Lady Panthers. Whitmer was on the short end of a 40-31 final to Perrysburg Thursday night.
