Ross’ wrestling team split a pair of duel meets Saturday, coming away with a 41-31 win over host Amherst Steele, but coming up short against Oak Harbor, losing 41-29.
Ross’ Caleb Wood, Garrett Barth and Jackson Weissinger each went 2-0 on the day and winning both matches by pin. Lamonte Champman and Deshead Pettiford both also went 2-0 on the afternoon.
Bryce Moreland and David Boda each went 1-1 for the day.
Ross’ grapplers return to action Wednesday when they travel to Elyria for the first round of the team duels state tournament. The Little Giants face Lorain at 5 p.m. with the winner of the match wrestling the winner of Midview and Madison Comprehensive.
