OREGON – The Lady Giant golf team showed how much improvement can take place in a short period of time.
After shooting a team score of 460 in its season-opener on Monday, Ross trimmed its score by 34 strokes Thursday in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference’s second league jamboree. Ross again finished fifth out of the six-team field, remaining ahead of Whitmer.
Alana Smith led Ross for the second time in as many events, shooting a 93. Shelby Level shot a 97 for the Lady Giants, a 12-stroke improvement from Monday’s round. Mekhia Williams shot 111, 14 strokes better than Monday while Alissa Berry’s 125 was also an 11-shot improvement.
The Lady Giants return to the course Wednesday at Maumee Bay Golf Club for a match with Genoa.
