TOLEDO – A cold-shooting streak took hold of the Lady Giants Monday night.
Fremont Ross went into halftime tied at 23 in its TRAC-opener at Toledo Central Catholic. But the second half saw the Lady Giants score just 11 points on only three field goals in a 48-34 loss to the Irish.
After scoring just six points in the third quarter, Ross entered the fourth quarter trailing 35-29, but made just one of nine field goal attempts in the final period, sending the Lady Giants to their first loss of the season (2-1 overall, 0-1 TRAC).
Brooklyn Baptista led Ross with 10 points while Olivia Baptista added nine.
The Lady Giants return to action Thursday at 7:30 hosting Findlay.
