FREMONT – A pair of Lady Giant softball players have been recognized for their seasons at the district level.
Senior Braelyn Horn and junior Kayla Rich were named all-district honorable mentions.
Though she missed about half the season due to a knee injury, Horn led the Lady Giants with a .472 batting average and a .500 hitting percentage. She hit three doubles, a triple and a home run, with 18 RBIs in just 15 games.
Rich hit .384, tied with a team-high 7 doubles, tied for team lead with three triples, hit 16 RBI, second on the team, while batting in the lead-off position, and scored a team-high 26 runs.
The duo led Ross to a 10-16 record, its best mark in half a decade.
