TIFFIN – For a change of pace, the Lady Giants played a Saturday afternoon game at Tiffin Columbian. But the pace stayed steady on the scoreboard as Ross moved to 5-0 with a 52-30 non-league win.

It didn’t take the Lady Giants long to gain control of the game. During first quarter action Destiny Robinson nailed a three pointer and had five points for the quarter.  The second quarter was won by Tiffin simply because they got three three-point shots by Dallas Poll to help the Lady Tornadoes close the gap to a halftime score of 25-19 in favor of Ross.

It was the third quarter that put the game away for Ross. Carma Johnson had six points as the Lady Giants opened things up leading 41-22 as the fourth quarter was ready to begin.

Statistically for Fremont: Destiny Robinson finished with fourteen points to lead all scorers and six of those points were from beyond the arc.  Lyndi Wolf added 12 points, eight of those in the first half. Janiah Holmes and Carma Johnson had eight points apiece. Abby Cahill added six to the scoreboard and Aleah Whaley and Hannah Sheidler had two apiece.

“Our team continues to figure how to score on different defenses,” Coach Juan Vela said. “We have not seen a 3-2 zone. Lyndi Wolf and Janiah Holmes did a decent job getting open in the paint. The other girls made it a point to get the ball inside. Defensively we continue to grow and figure out how to stop teams.”

The Giant are back on the road Monday when they travel to Sandusky to take on the Lady Blue Streaks.
