FREMONT – Fremont Ross swept all the matches Wednesday afternoon at Beck Tennis Center with a 5-0 victory over Bellevue.
Fremont’s two seniors, Morgan Shetzer and Alexis Huff played in first and third singles respectively and both won their final home matches. Shetzer, playing first singles, defeated Bellevue’s Cameron Beltran in three sets, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1. Huff, Ross’ other senior, won in third singles defeating Alondra Rita 6-1, 6-1. In second singles, Ava Smith, was a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 victor over Bellevue’s Dakota Lilly.
In doubles play, Ross’ Trinity Smith and Alex Bishop were winners with a 6-2, 6-7, 6-2 score over Bellevue’s tandem of Kiley Shumway and Delinda Gore. In second doubles, Ross’ Jenna Gooslin and Becca Jensen were 6-0, 6-0 winners over Olivia Baun and Grace McMichael.
On October 5th, Fremont Ross will host the Sectional tournament. Fremont’s Morgan Shetzer and Trinity Smith will be seeded in the double’s competition.
