FREMONT – Fremont Ross knew it was going to have its hands full when it hosted TRAC tennis power St. John’s Thursday afternoon. Prior to the match, Lisa Wolfe anticipated her team receiving “a free lesson.”

Sure enough, the Titans largely had their way with the Little Giants, snapping Ross’ five match win streak with a 4-1 win.

The bright spot of the day for Ross came from its No. 2 doubles tandem of Lucas Cronin and Ethan Moyer who romped to a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

“(I was) proud of doubs,” Wolfe said. “Great for No. 2 doubles and seeding for the (TRAC) tourney.”

The Little Giants (5-2 overall, 1-2 TRAC) don’t get any time to mourn their winning streak, but instead get a chance to immediately start a new one as they host cross-town rival, St. Joseph Central Catholic on Friday.
