PORT CLINTON – In a word, the Fremont Ross swim teams were simply dominant.
In a duel meet Tuesday night at Port Clinton, not only did Ross’ swimmers win the meet handily, the Little and Lady Giants did so while setting over 30 season personal records along the way.
The Lady Giants won their competition, 103.5-66.5, finishing first-place in all but one event. The boys, meanwhile, defeated Port Clinton 101-69.
Senior Alexis Prenzlin broke the Port Clinton pool record with her time of 1:05.72 in the breaststroke, marking the second meet in a row she has set a new pool mark in that event.
“Swimmers had a fun meet and swam very well,” coach Phil Moran said.
“Full speed ahead.”
Ross returns to the pool this weekend. The divers compete Friday at Perkins High School in the NWOAC Championships before Ross hosts the swimming events beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
