FREMONT – The Lady Giant tennis team returned to the court for the first time since their disappointing finish the in the TRAC tournament last weekend.

While Ross would have liked a better performance in the tournament, the Lady Giants didn’t let their disappointment carry over into Tuesday’s duel match against Huron as the Lady Giants swept the Tigers, 5-0.

“We’ve had nice grown-up talks about life and what’s important and what’s not,” Ross coach Lisa Wolfe said. “It’s been a good ending to the regular season.”

Gillian Gallagher, Lily Abdoo and Berlin Swaisgood each won their respective singles matches, never losing more than two games in any set.

The No. 1 doubles team of Sophia Biggins and Vivyanna Esquivel won their match in dominant fashion, 6-0, 6-0, while Emma Jahns and Alexis Huff won their match, 6-3, 6-2.

The Lady Giants will wrap up the regular season Monday when Ross hosts Port Clinton on Senior Night at 4:30.
